Written in C Major, in 4/4 time, the introduction of this cute little composition starts with an accented bass note sequence, for just two bars before the treble takes over with a playful melody that stays within a five-note treble range. There is much use of phrasing and staccato notes, and dynamics and expression play a large part in the overall feel and rhythmic flow. The ending contains bass notes in thirds and fifths.
