ACC 515

Solo / SB / Grade 5

The name of this piece, written in C Major, is taken from the number registration plate on my automobile (ACC for accordion). It has a four bar introduction, while the main theme features a canon-like interplay between treble and bass – a question and answer session that calls for good independent left and right hand control. Written in A-B-A-C-A form, there are thus two middle sections – both in A minor. The second of these has numerous accents in the treble. Then it’s back to C Major main theme for the final stretch, which ends with a bold, final four-note chrd in the treble.
